Czech biotechnology company BeneMeat has published a scientific paper focused on the safety of cultivated meat in the scientific journal Physiological Research. The publication, Shaping the Future Plate: Exploring the Safety Concerns of Cultivated and Conventional Meat Production, summarizes current scientific knowledge on key safety aspects of the technology while also identifying areas where further research is needed.

With this objective in mind, BeneMeat welcomed representatives of the Czech Meat Processors Association (ČSZM) to showcase its pilot production facility and cultivated meat manufacturing technology. The meeting confirmed a shared commitment to fact-based discussion, mutual understanding, and exploring future opportunities.
BeneMeat has provided its position on the European Commission's proposed regulation on Territorial Supply Constraints (TSCs). While the proposal addresses a specific aspect of the European Single Market, we believe it also highlights a much broader issue, the growing regulatory burden that increasingly limits the ability of innovative European companies to grow.
A scientific study published in Frontiers in Veterinary Science demonstrated that a complete feline diet containing cultivated meat from BeneMeat was well accepted and digested by domestic cats. Conducted in collaboration with Ghent University, the study focused on acceptance and digestibility of this novel pet food ingredient.
At the international Interzoo 2026 trade fair in Nuremberg, the FORZA10 brand, part of Nasta Pet Food, introduced Coolty Meat, a complete wet dog food containing cultivated meat supplied by BeneMeat. This is the world’s first commercial launch of complete pet food with cultivated meat and represents a major milestone for the pet food industry. BeneMeat acts as the technology partner and supplier of the feed ingredient for the launch.
Czech biotechnology company BeneMeat presents the results of the Try & Share program. The first European trial of cultivated meat-based dog treats delivered highly positive outcomes. Participants from 25 countries took part in the pilot program, with results confirming not only a high level of acceptance among dogs, but also growing trust among their owners in this new technology.
